This court really needs to get there consistency in order. I Filed for a petition for dissolution, however, realize that we needed to change a section. Filed An amended petition only changing two sections, and the amended petition was rejected with a laundry list of things wrong.

For example, the court address is wrong on the documents. However, literally states on Google search with the address of “1415”… only after I called the court to confirm their address and was told that it’s 1215. But if you Google Kern County Superior Court, it comes up as 1415.

The clerks are inconsistent. I called the court and literally said how is it that I filed a petition that was accepted and filed, but I filed the amended petition, and it comes back with a laundry list of rejections. The court clerk stated that it must’ve been things overlooked. Respectfully, how is that my problem? And mind you, these were rejections that were so minuscule, like a font size was too small.

I believe that spending some tax dollars on retraining, and properly training, the court clerks should be worked in the budget for the next fiscal year. To avoid delays, frustration, and to promote consistency.

Difficult staff. Don't help people. They should all be replaced with the exception of only one individual. No ethnic diversity. For Commissioner Gina Cervantes, my experience has been she has been brash and temperamental. This was after someone else, who sat at my table, discussed with another man how she was abrupt with him. File a peremptory challenge with her. Judges avila, oglesby, lampe and Commissioner etienne are also unpleasant/unfair.

Unhelpful. The women at the clerks office are extremely rude and act as if they are above everybody that walks in those courthouse doors. I am an autistic adult and already have an extremely difficult time being in public, who would've thought these women who are supposed to be helping you could make things so much worse and then continously drag out the filing process which also drags out the amount of time that i am having to deal with these mean people. Only reason i am giving any stars at all is because of the single person that was kind and actually seemed to want to help. One person out of everyone there. I understand it is not a fun job however it is not fun to have the clerk push me into a meltdown either. Zero compassion.

Jury duty is mandatory, so why not make the waiting area more comfortable? Who decided airport seating was a good idea? Was it the same person who decided tables were too luxurious for those waiting HOURS? Seriously, I didn't think Jury duty could actually get worse. I was mistaken.

Although I've been here only when I'm in some sort problem. But over all kern is a dignified self supporting community that help each other when they're in need and we buy from our own sources and that's why we're a welthy
county that made a mark in more than just the killer kern. There is a thousand good things about kern.

They are incredibly slow on handling anything. Divorce has been pending for months they aren't very nice when you call the women always have attitudes. If it's that bad hire people answer calls Bec they always say rudely they do everything and it goes to bottom of the paperwork and we answer phones etc. Well I'm over it . Do y'all's job stop prolonging peoples paperwork. I've been separated from my ex for years and something needs filed they send something then takes months to get to it we get them back in the office and then bam back to bottom . Then takes months again before anything starts moving .

For real they got up to the minute information and you just need to hope you’re not on any dockets.. Kern County don’t play with you. Come on vacation, leave on probation. But I love our cops.

This place is a JOKE! Seriously it’s constant back and forth games. Go to the small claims advisor, law library, etc. they make you run in circles for one, to tell you they can’t “ help” even though you’re told you have to go there and then the help you do get is worthless because paperwork still gets rejected and they send you BACK to the place that “helped” you do the paperwork. It’s literally something new EVERYTIME. This court rather help mooch’s and thieves than honest hard working people.
