Don’t go with this company. They charge you a ridiculous fee for cancelling your policy before the renewal date. Such a scam. If I’d known that, I’d never have gone with this company. And they’ve assured that I’ll never take out another policy with them when I buy my next car. I’ve looked into it and many other companies do NOT have this policy. Why not just charge me for the months that I needed insurance? It’s greedy to want to retain a certain amount if I NO LONGER NEED INSURANCE FROM YOU! Save your money guys. And why does it say on the website to contact your broker about cancellation fees if it’s set in stone that it’s basically one month’s premium? Just tell people that up front without trying to be sneaky and take people’s money.

Don't trust this company as they increased my insurance charges by $300 more per month without giving any prior notification even though I didn't had any complaints and claims till now. when I checked with my agent he mentioned that this insurance company is not counting home country experience anymore however it's totally unfair to increase the charges to existing customer. Please don't waste your time and money by dealing with this kind of fraud insurance companies

My experience with Intact Insurance was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I called to inquire about quotes for driving with Uber, expecting a straightforward process. Instead, the representative began questioning me about other people in my household, specifically if anyone else drives. I answered honestly that, yes, there is another person, but he don’t touch or drive my vehicle. He doesn't drive. Yet, he pressed further, asking about my relationship with this individual. I found this extremely invasive – if the person doesn’t drive my car or have any involvement with it, then their relationship to me shouldn’t matter.

Despite my repeated responses, the representative continued to ask the same questions and, shockingly, disconnected the call without any explanation. It was incredibly rude and left me feeling undervalued as a potential customer. Intact Insurance clearly lacks respect for personal boundaries and doesn’t understand when to stop prying. This experience was beyond inappropriate, and it’s hard to trust a company that treats inquiries with such disrespect. They should seriously reconsider their customer service approach.

I am writing regarding an issue with Intact Insurance concerning a charge of $508, which has been forcefully overcharged on my account. Despite previous attempts to resolve this matter amicably, no satisfactory resolution has been provided.
The overcharge is unjustified and violates fair business practices. I have all necessary documentation and evidence to support my claim.
If the amount of $508 is not refunded within 5 business days, I will have no choice but to proceed with legal action against you and your company to recover the funds and any additional costs incurred during this process.
I urge you to address this matter promptly to avoid further escalation.

Soooooo bad. Avoid. Avoid at all costs. Have been trying to contact them to cancel my policy forever now and they still won't get back to me. Disappointing. (Also clearly faking reviews on here to try to boost all the 1 star ratings)

I had a very disappointing experience with Poonam, an agent from Intact Insurance. We were forcefully overcharged $508 without proper explanation or justification. Despite reaching out to resolve the issue, the lack of professionalism and accountability was shocking. This type of behavior is unacceptable, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this agent. A trustworthy insurance agent should prioritize customer service and transparency, but that was not the case here. I regret choosing Intact Insurance and specifically Poonam as an agent. I hope the company takes action to prevent such experiences for other customers.

My daughter's catalytic converter was stolen. Intact has been hell to deal with. They gave her a fake quote of less than $400 so told her it was less than her deductible. They took her rental car and closed her claim...the car isn't fixed yet. The garages quote is $8,000. The garage asked them to reopen the claim so they can fix the 1.5 year old vehicle. They said no, they will not reopen. (Shibion) terrible customer service.
