We contacted Pahroo Appraisal after our home sale hit a snag when the initial appraisal from the lender (not done by Pahroo) came in $30,000 under the agreed on purchase price. I spoke with Michael the owner and he put me in touch with one of his lead appraisers. They looked very thoroughly into the local comps. They also asked detailed questions about any recent improvements we had made to the home, and also if we had any inside information about any of the comps since we have lived in the area for quite some time. We filed a formal rebuttal to the appraisal and even though everyone else in the real estate world seemed to think we were crazy for our challenge we were able to get the bank to do a second appraisal. The second appraisal came in at full asking price so Pahroo made us $30,000!!! Great work to Michael and his team. They went above and beyond on a tight timeline to get this done for us. I could not be happier with my entire engagement with Pahroo Appraisal.

I was in the midst of a FSBO with my house when the potential buyer requested an appraisal in July of 2020. Time was of the essence as the contract was contingent on the appraisal.

I called eight different firms in the Chicago area and not a single one returned my call with the exception of Pahroo Appraisal. Granted appraisal firms were over the top busy because of an upsurge in closings and refinancings. However, as a veteran of the business world, it was incredulous that seven of the eight firms did not give me the courtesy of returning my phone call. In effect they were walking away from potential business.

Once I engaged Pahroo in the process they could not have been more responsive and diligent. Michael Kozenko was the point person with the appraisal and was quite impressive with his knowledge and dedication to the task at hand. Pahroo's President, Michael Hobbs, involved himself in the process as well which gave me great comfort knowing I could rely upon the integrity of the information. In addition, Michael Kozenko and Michael Hobbs both made themselves available by phone at all hours of the day when questions would arise which is not the norm.

In the end Pahroo came through for me when no other firm would. Thus, I would highly recommend them if the need ever arises for a real estate appraisal. They are clearly a cut above the rest in all facers when it comes to real estate appraisal.

Miserable experience from beginning to end. I wouldn’t allow them to appraise my home if they paid me. Appraiser was late and rushed through appraisal. He called to say he was going to be late after he was already 7 minutes late. He finally arrived 35 minutes and rushed through the house in just over 10 minutes. When I called the office to voice my concern, Nina the Office Manager told me, ‘too bad’ and then proceeded to hang up on me. Wildly unprofessional and disrespectful. The President Michael was attempting to be helpful until he became condescending and accused me of being untruthful. He stated that some of my testimony was unsubstantiated and inaccurate Basically calling me a liar. Beware of this company.
