Dr. Wilson and his PA Miranda are all you could ask for in healthcare. He found what was wrong with my shoulder after another surgeon had missed it from my MRI.

He came in to the room with print outs of different views on my MRI and X ray to show me. No doctor has reviewed my images before coming in and I was extremely impressed with his expertise. He was very compassionate, thorough and personable during my appointment.

I had been struggling with a shoulder pain for 2 years at this point and he made sure to answer all of my concerns and questions. I’m an engineer who likes to understand everything and he was more than happy to answer all of them with no rush. He did not rush me to the surgery but he explained the benefits of it as well as downsides.

He truly has an exceptional knowledge, great bedside manners and treats you with respect and care. He never rushes to explain things to you and him and Miranda both have been greatly responsive whenever I have questions.

Right before the surgery, he came over to explain and answer my questions. My fiancé is a nurse and she was also very impressed with his knowledge and bedside manner. I was glad to see Miranda when I entered the surgery as well.

I am currently a week after bicep tenodesis and I have almost no pain. Very optimistic about my recovery and I am truly happy to have him and his team for my shoulder problems.

Can't recommend them enough!

Dr Joe Wilson is the BEST!! I had been suffering with shoulder arthritis for about 10 years and when the shots stopped working and I was in pain constantly, I decided to have reverse should replacement surgery. Dr Wilson performed the surgery on March 1, 2024, immediately the pain was gone. It’s been 5 months and recovery has been quicker than expected. I am able to do basically anything I want to do with my shoulder. I certainly recommend Dr Wilson with the highest regard. Just follow his instructions as well as the physical therapy and all should be great. I am a 63 year old male and have no regrets at all about the surgery. Thanks Dr Wilson!!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Wilson and his staff.

I initially began to have shoulder pain and discomfort and found him from Yelp reviews. After getting an MRI he discovered that I had an issue with my bicep tendon. He ran through all of my options, from PT to Cortizone shots and surgery. He was very detailed in what to expect with each option, what drawbacks each came with etc. Never once did I feel rushed in my appointments with him or felt pressured to pick a particular option. At the end of the appointment he told me to just text me with my decision and we could go from there. I remember even verifying with his staff that I was to text him? Never met a Dr. like that and they said that was his protocol he liked being hands on with patients. I ended up deciding to move forward with the surgery.

My pre-op and post-op appts were with Miranda and she was just as wonderful as him. Very easy to talk with, spent time going over everything beforehand on what to expect, never rushed through the appt.

Surgery went well, ended up having to have tendon detached and reattached to another portion of my arm, to rotator issue thankfully. His office had me meet with PT within a week, which I know seems fast, but I think it was a huge help to recovering faster as having your arm inmobile for even a week seemed hard to move I couldn't imagine 6 weeks.

He doesn't require unnecessary appts, is always available by text if any questions arise. I would highly recommend Dr. Wilson and his staff without hesitation.

My experience with Dr. Wilson was the best that could be hoped for. Not only is he a skilled doctor and surgeon, but he is caring and empathetic, as well. Dr. Wilson offered alternatives to reduce the discomfort. I never felt pushed to have the surgery quickly as possible. My opinion mattered and he worked with me to have the surgery when we concluded that the problem was not getting better. He informed me of what to expect and the steps of recovery and rehabilitation. Pre-op and post-op visits were thorough, and I never felt rushed during any of my appointments. I hope to never have surgery again, but if I do, I hope that it will be with a doctor as skilled and personable as Dr. Wilson. This was truly a wonderful experience!

Hats off to Dr. Wilson I couldn't ask for a better doctor. He did an excellent job on pain management and even called to check on me. I know I have a long recovery but I know I'm in good hands. I've been through a lot of surgeries but none of the doctors checked on me like he did. Hats off you are the best.

I had total reverse shoulder replacement on June 21, 2024. Dr. Wilson was my surgeon. Today is August 12th and I must say this surgery has been a breeze. I've had very little pain. I'm still going to physical therapy but Dr. Wilson is the best.

I was still suffering from shoulder pain after 2 surgeries so I decided to try Emerge Ortho. I initially met with the PA Miranda Butler and she evaluated my shoulder and said Dr Wilson would probably want to do a bicep tenodesis given my symptoms. That is exactly what he wanted to do. I was pretty against having a 3rd shoulder surgery. He was so supportive in not pushing me to have the surgery immediately. He was willing to work with me to manage the pain until I was ready to have the surgery. After about 6 months, I decided to go through with the surgery and it was one of the best decisions I've made. He painted an accurate picture of what the recovery would look like. I'm still in physical therapy, but I have been so impressed with the surgery outcome. He is a topnotch surgeon with an excellent bed side manner. He takes time with his patients to really explain the problem and solution and makes you feel heard. If you're having shoulder issues, I would highly recommend having a consult with Dr Wilson.
